New Camera!!!

My sweet Harley was my model today as I tried out my NEW CAMERA!!!  I am so excited to finally have an SLR camera again (I used one while in college, for my photojournalism classes).  I can't wait to make beautiful photographs again!!  If you want photos taken for anything...or everything, please let me know :)   Since it's been so long since I've shot, I could use the practice!

Take me out to the ball game

Alan and I had Braves tickets for Sunday and had much better weather this time around. It was beautiful out, the clouds left behind from the recent bad weather kept us from getting too burnt.  In addition to the nice weather, the game was awesome.  We knew it was going to be an exciting game when Kelly Johnson, the Braves 2nd baseman hit a homerun the first pitch of the game!! We had a great time as the Braves added another game to their WIN column.

Rain, rain go away...

Well, unfortunately, the rain didn't go away AT ALL last Sunday when Alan and I were at the Braves game.  We hung out at Turner Field for a little while in hopes that the bad weather would pass over..since it never did, and didn't look like it would for the rest of the day we got tickets for another game later in the season.  Since my camera has been acting up recently I haven't really taken many pictures...of anything.  It's more annoying than enjoyable to take pictures with a uncooperative camera..so, these were the only ones we took.  Hopefully next time we will have nicer weather! 

A Day in the Sun (or 2 or 3)

Well, these photos are long overdue, but here they are.  I spent the week of my birthday (my college friend's spring break) at Cape San Blas.  The weather was beautiful (considering we left snow behind in Athens) and we had a great time.

P.S. Upon finishing this post I have come to the conclusion that I have a very bad habit of taking pictures of others, and not getting any of myself.  I guess you will just have to take my word for it, but I promise that I was here..even though the pictures don't really show it.   

A Winter Wonderland... in March? in Georgia?

Well, with only a week away from packing up for a spring break trip to the beach, what better time for a snow storm?  Yes, Athens is officially a beautiful winter wonderland, every inch blanketed in at least half a foot of snow!  It started snowing around 1pm Sunday and did not stop until late Sunday night, after knocking out almost all of the power in the area.  After playing in the fresh powder and watching the cotton ball sized snowflakes fall all day the sun finally set.  I couldn't choose just one picture..they are all too beautiful...

And...today brought the most beautiful blue skies I have ever seen! 

And, unfortunately, with heavy snow there are trees down everywhere

A Day in the Life of Baby Bulldog

Last week I had the pleasure of puppy sitting a bona-fide member of the Uga family.  Her name is Bella, but we like to call her Baby Bulldog.  She is pretty adorable and on top of being cute she is an excellent little puppy....must be her good genes.  We had a fun day playing and since I wasn't doing much else all day I was sure to take some pictures of my new puppy friend.  Get ready for some major cuteness :)
